Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 September 2026

WorkGroup Studio Pty Ltd ("WorkGroup", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and how we handle it.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We also work with clients in New Zealand, and we handle personal information collected there in line with the information privacy principles under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect:

Our website is a portfolio. It has no contact form, account login or newsletter signup, so we collect personal information in two ways.
Information you give us. If you email or call us, we receive whatever you choose to include, such as your name, contact details, company and the content of your message. If we go on to work together, we also collect what we need to run the engagement, such as billing details and the contact details of people on your team.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site, our hosting, analytics and advertising tools may collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, approximate location, pages viewed and how you arrived. See our Cookies Policy for detail.

How we use it:

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, discuss and deliver our work, manage client and supplier relationships, understand how the site is used, and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We don't send marketing emails, and we don't upload contact details to advertising platforms to build audiences. If that changes we'll update this policy and give you a way to opt out.

Who we share it with:

We don't sell personal information. We share it only where it's needed to run the studio, for example with:

- our website host
- our analytics and advertising providers (Google and Meta)
- subcontractors and collaborators where a project requires it, under confidentiality obligations
- our email, file storage and accounting software (Google Workspace, Dropbox and Xero)
- our accountants, bank and other professional advisers
- anyone else where you've asked us to, or where the law requires it.

Analytics and advertising:

We use Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to understand how visitors find and use our site and to measure our online presence. These tools may collect information about your device and activity, and may use cookies. Google and Meta handle that information under their own privacy policies. Our Cookies Policy explains how to stop these tools running if you'd prefer they didn't.

Overseas storage:

Some of our providers operate internationally, so your information may be stored or processed outside Australia and New Zealand, mainly in the United States. This includes Google, Meta and Dropbox, along with our website host. We take reasonable steps to see that it's handled appropriately, and we remain responsible for information we pass to them.

Keeping it secure:

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including limiting who can reach it and using reputable providers. No website can be completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep it:

We keep personal information only as long as we reasonably need it, then delete or de-identify it. Some records we have to hold longer: financial and company records are kept for seven years, as Australian law requires. Information held by Google and Meta is retained under their own settings.

Access, correction and complaints:

You can ask us to access or correct the information we hold about you, or raise a concern about how we've handled it, by emailing hello@workgroupstudio.com. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we'll come back to you as quickly as we can.

Changes:

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its date, always lives on this page.

Cookies Policy
Last updated: 2 September 2026

This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on our website. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers how we handle personal information more generally.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help a site recognise your browser, remember settings and understand how it's used. Similar technologies such as pixels and tags do comparable things. Cookies can be temporary, deleted when you close your browser, or persistent, and they can be set by us or by third-party services.

What we use

Our site is a portfolio. It has no login, cart or contact form, so it sets very few cookies of its own. Nearly all the cookies you'll encounter here come from third-party tools:

- Google Analytics, to understand how visitors find and use our site: pages viewed, time on page, approximate location, device and referral source.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel, to measure activity on our site and support advertising measurement.

Information collected by Google and Meta is handled under their own privacy policies, and may be processed overseas, mainly in the United States.

Your choices

We don't currently show a cookie banner, so these tools load when you open the site. If you'd rather they didn't run, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, browse privately, or use a tracker-blocking extension. You can also manage advertising preferences through Google's and Meta's own tools. Blocking cookies may affect how some websites work, though it won't stop ours from working.

Changes

We may update this policy as our site or tools change. The current version, with its date, lives on this page.
