New Zealand Story

We built the animation around that idea of unfurling, each frond opening in 3D to reveal the colour and structure beneath, carrying a sense of strength and narrative that's embedded in the fern itself, not layered on top of it. Designed to loop seamlessly, it can sit as an ambient presence wherever New Zealand is represented, on event screens or international stages, without ever losing that sense of intent.

Since its international debut, the animation has travelled with New Zealand Story to campaigns and events around the world, doing more than represent the country, it tells a piece of its story wherever it plays.
